About ChrisNorcras
The story behind the name - where it came from, what it became, and why this site exists.
The Name
ChrisNorcras has been my online identity since high school - well over 20 years ago. It replaced an earlier username (“LegoMan”, if you must know) and quickly became the consistent thread through everything I did online: every game I played, every community I joined, every project I shipped.
At some point it stopped being just a username. It became the name. The one on my Steam profile, my Twitch channel, my GitHub, my Discord servers. If you see ChrisNorcras somewhere on the internet, it's me - and it has been for a long time.
It may not be the name on my birth certificate, but ChrisNorcras is the name I built something with.
What Connects It All
On the surface, the things I spend time on look pretty scattered - worldbuilding tools, Minecraft servers, creative fiction, web development, simulation games. But they're all pulling in the same direction: building things, and building them with other people.
- Worldbuilding and creative tools - I'm obsessed with the infrastructure of fictional worlds. MythosGen came out of wanting tools that think about worldbuilding the way I do, not the way most generators do.
- The Multiverse - a long-running creative universe that started as personal notes and became a whole canon. Connected worlds, portals, lore systems. It lives at mv.chrisnorcras.com.
- Community and gaming - servers, online spaces, the communities that form around shared games and interests. I've been running Minecraft servers and participating in gaming communities for years.
- Building things on the web - tinkering with ideas, exploring new tools, shipping things that might grow into something real. This site is part of that.
Why This Site
For a long time I had projects scattered across different corners of the internet with no single place that tied them together. This site fixes that. It's not a portfolio or a resume - it's a creator hub. A central home for the ChrisNorcras identity: what I'm building, what I'm exploring, the worlds I'm developing, and where to find me online.
It's also meant to feel like a real place - something that grows and updates rather than sitting static. The Now page exists exactly for that reason.
